Valve cores
The valve core is literally the core element of a standard valve. It screws into the valve body and is exchangeable. When the valve core is screwed into the valve body, the outer seal creates a seal against the valve body. A spring-loaded plunger washer ensures reliable sealing of the valve core and allows safe opening and closing. This allows the medium to flow through the valve.
Valve cores are available in numerous diameters and lengths. There are also different types of valve cores for different pressure ranges, depending on the particular application. Different seal materials allow use with diverse media. Our valve cores are designed to withstand both static and dynamic pressure, depending on the type.
Valve cores for special requirements, such as high- and low-pressure use, are available on request. We will also be glad to create CAD models for you on request.

Areas of application
AIGO-TEC valve cores are used in diverse applications. They are used for example in valves for filling tyres (tyre valves for bicycles, motorbikes and cars, as well as construction machinery), in pressure accumulators, surge tanks, pneumatic systems and special wheels.

Note
Aluminium valves require the use of nickel-plated valve cores, to prevent contact corrosion between the bare brass of the valve core and the aluminium valve.
Please note: For a reliable seal, a valve cap with an inserted sealing ring must be screwed firmly onto the valve core. This is recommended by the ETRTO (European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation).
